Biography

Person Biography:

Danny B. Harvey was born in Killeen, Texas, and at the age of 6, he moved to Catlettsburg, Kentucky, where he first picked up the guitar. He received his first formal lessons at the age of 15 from the great Joe Pass. Prior to that, he learned to play by watching older country guitarists in Ashland, Kentucky, and Huntington, West Virginia, and fell in love with the guitar style of fellow Kentuckian Merle Travis.
