Born in the back of a Chevy station wagon on a starry night in September, Danny was delivered by his father in West Texas, unable to find a hospital for his mother to give birth. This event set the stage for Danny's life, with his father's command and resourcefulness becoming a defining characteristic.
As a child, Danny was fascinated with acting and knew he wanted to be a movie actor by the age of five. He began studying theater at the age of seven with Jeannine Wagner, a renowned authority in children's theater, and continued to pursue his passion for acting throughout his childhood.
At the age of ten, Danny was inspired by James Cagney's performance in "Man of a Thousand Faces" and knew he wanted to become a character actor. He was offered the opportunity to study theater at Southwest Texas University, becoming the youngest student ever admitted to the university's summer theater program.
Danny remained active in theater throughout his high school years, winning numerous local, regional, and state competitions in public speaking, debate, and acting. He was scouted by the University of Texas and offered a full scholarship, but instead chose to attend Trinity University to work with Paul Baker.
After graduating from Emerson College in Boston, Danny pursued a career in law, becoming a felony prosecutor and later an Assistant U.S. Attorney. He pioneered the federal criminal prosecutions of film piracy and worked with the U.S. Congress to raise the criminal penalty for copyright infringement.
Danny's achievements in law earned him the John Marshall Award from the U.S. Department of Justice, and he was featured in a "60 Minutes" segment titled "Who Stole Superman."
After his father's death, Danny realized that life can be short and decided to pursue his unrealized life-long ambition to become an actor. He returned to the stage and was offered a co-star role in his first television movie, "The Return of Desperado."
Danny still makes his home in Houston, Texas, and works all over North America, including Canada. He is also an award-winning and published stills photographer, with numerous book and magazine credits. In 2009, he created "Operation Grateful," a photo project where he shoots family portraits for free and sends them to military personnel serving overseas.
In 2007, Danny founded the non-profit organization Carolyn's Hope, dedicated to educating the public and law enforcement on identifying, exposing, and combating domestic elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of vulnerable elderly people.
Danny's most recent theatrical stage work was in 2008 in a play directed by Richard Benjamin at the Falcon Theater in Burbank, California, where he co-starred with Ed Asner, Paula Prentiss, and Laine Kazan.
Today, Danny is a criminal defense lawyer in private practice in Houston, Texas, representing juvenile clients charged with criminal offenses.
