Dante Brown, a 16-year-old multi-talented individual, has already made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He has impressed audiences with his diverse characters on screen, as well as his skills in music, dance, and creating engaging online content for Generation Z.
Born and raised in Chicago, Dante began his acting and modeling career as a baby, quickly landing campaigns for Keebler and Sears. His bubbly personality was nurtured by his parents, who recognized his "it" factor.
One of Dante's big breaks came when he was just five years old, when he appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show's first "Amazing Kids" episode, hosted by Jay Leno. His performance solidified him as one of Oprah's "All-Time Smartest and Most Talented Kids."
By 2012, Dante had become a popular face in Young Hollywood, with dozens of credits in television and film. He was dubbed "Young Denzel Washington" by casting directors and fans.
Dante has appeared in numerous TV series, including "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "The Last Ship," "Shameless," "Henry Danger," "Community," "Southland," and "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service." He held his first series regular role in 2015, co-starring in "Mr. Robinson" opposite comedian Craig Robinson.
On the film front, Dante made his feature debut in 2012, appearing in "Won't Back Down" alongside Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis and Maggie Gyllenhaal. He also appeared in the short film "Black Doves" in 2016.
When not acting, Dante can be found in the recording studio, laying down tracks under his moniker "DanteThePoet." He is a Grammy Camp alumnus and independent artist, drawing inspiration from Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West.
Dante is also passionate about creating scripted projects, and has been writing his first animated series. He is the co-creator of the YouTube webisode "Talking with The Brown Boys" alongside his younger brother Dusan.
In addition to his acting and music career, Dante is a self-taught dancer, taking first place at the Monsters of Hip Hop Freestyle Battle. He also plans to launch an innovative teen clothing line.
On the charity front, Dante aims to give back to the community by launching a youth concert, "DanteThePoet + Friends," which will showcase local teen rising stars and provide a safe space for youth to gather. He also plans to support organizations that uplift young Black men and women in his hometown of Chicago and Los Angeles.
Dante's ultimate goal is to set a good example for youth, bringing awareness to various organizations that work to uplift young people in the face of police brutality, gun violence, gang violence, and teen drug abuse.
