Darryl Matthews McDaniels, a remarkable individual, took his first breath on May 31, 1964, in Queens, New York, with his birth parents remaining unknown. However, his life took a significant turn when Byford and Banna McDaniels, his adoptive parents, welcomed him into their family at just three months old.
Darryl's educational journey began in Catholic schools in New York City, where he laid the foundation for his future accomplishments. Upon graduation, he pursued higher education at St. John's University in Queens, New York. It was during this period in 1984 that he released his debut album, "RUN-D.M.C.", a testament to his talent and dedication.
Fast forward to 1991, Darryl's life took another significant turn when he met the love of his life, Zuri L. (Alston) McDaniels, while strolling through the streets of New York City. A year later, on September 28, 1992, they exchanged vows and began their life together. Their family grew with the arrival of their son, Darryl M. McDaniels, Jr. (DSon),born on July 27, 1994, at LaGuardia Hospital in Queens, New York.
Currently, Darryl and his family reside in New Jersey, enjoying life's many blessings and experiences together.
