David McNulty was born in the vibrant city of Hollywood, California, to loving parents Barbara and Joseph McNulty. Following his high school graduation, he made the courageous decision to join the United States Navy, where he received an Honorable Discharge. After his time in the Navy, he pursued his passion for acting, relocating back to Hollywood at the age of 20 to study under the guidance of the renowned actor and author, Eric Morris.
Under Morris' tutelage, McNulty honed his craft and went on to land roles in a variety of projects, including commercials, independent films, and feature films. His big break came when he secured a recurring role on the popular soap opera, General Hospital. In 1987, he became a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG/AFTRA),and has remained in good standing with the union to this day.
After taking a hiatus to focus on raising his two children, McNulty returned to the film industry with renewed energy and a wealth of experience. He has since appeared in a combined total of 37 film shorts, features, and lead roles in independent films, webisodes, commercials, and theatrical performances.
In addition to his work in front of the camera, McNulty has also ventured behind the scenes, serving as Co-Executive Producer on three film shorts and one feature film. He has gained valuable experience in the areas of production, filmmaking, directing, and distribution, and has developed a keen understanding of the importance of effective communication in bringing stories to life.
McNulty's passion for acting and improvisation, as well as his commitment to the Midwest film industry, have kept him at the forefront of the film and theatrical industry. He remains dedicated to his craft, and continues to perform nationally and internationally.
