Dato' Thiagarajan K.R. Arumugam, a Malaysian musician and singer, was born on May 3, 1950, and is more commonly known by his stage name, David Arumugam. He is an esteemed founding member of the renowned band, Alleycats. Notably, David Arumugam is the elder brother of Loganathan Arumugam.
On February 12, 2009, David Arumugam was honored with the prestigious Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award, which comes with the esteemed title of "Dato'". This remarkable achievement was conferred upon him in conjunction with the 78th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Pahang, which took place on October 24, 2008.
