Lavell William Crump, professionally known as David Banner, is a multifaceted American artist, born on April 11, 1974. As a rapper, record producer, and actor, Banner's creative endeavors have spanned across various mediums.
Initially, Banner's music career began as a member of the rap duo CrookedLettaz, before transitioning to a solo artist in 2000 with the release of his debut title "Them Firewater Boyz, Vol. 1". Since then, he has gone on to release a plethora of successful titles, including the 2003 album "Mississippi: The Album", which was followed by a sequel titled "MTA2: Baptized in Dirty Water" after the success of the initial "MTA" album.
Three years later, in 2005, Banner released the title "Certified", and then returned with a new title "The Greatest Story Ever Told" in 2008. In addition to his music, Banner has also ventured into the world of film, making his debut appearance in "Black Snake Moan" (2006),starring Christina Ricci and Samuel L. Jackson.
Furthermore, Banner has also executive produced the Adult Swim show "That Crook'd 'Sipp" (2007) and has appeared in other films such as "Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming" (2010) and "The Last Punch" (2016). Moreover, he has contributed rap songs to various movies, including "2 Fast 2 Furious" (2003) and "See No Evil" (2006).
