David Belle is a multifaceted individual who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry as an actor, founder of Parkour, and entrepreneur. His journey in acting began with a meeting that introduced him to Hubert Koundé, which led to his role in the play Pygmalion.
He started his acting career with guest appearances on television shows, including Louis Page in 1997. Belle's breakthrough role came when he starred in Brian De Palma's Femme Fatale in 2002, followed by his impressive Parkour performances in action movies such as Les Rivières Pourpres 2 alongside Jean Reno in 2004.
Belle's international fame grew when he was cast as the lead actor in Luc Besson's action movie District 13 in 2004, and he reprised his role as Leïto in the sequel District 13: Ultimatum in 2009. He has also starred in films such as Babylon A.D. and The Family, and worked as a stunt/Parkour coordinator/choreographer in blockbusters like Transporter 2, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and Colombiana.
Considered a "Living Legend" in China, Belle entered the Asian movie market in 2016 and has since appeared in several blockbuster films.
