David DeCoteau, a dual national of Canada and the United States, has spent his entire professional life working within the film industry, commencing his career at the tender age of 18.
In 1980, he received a life-changing offer from the renowned movie mogul, Roger Corman, who hired him as a production assistant at New World Pictures, providing DeCoteau with a valuable opportunity to hone his skills and gain industry experience.
Fast forward to 1986, DeCoteau was given the chance to direct and produce his first feature film, courtesy of another influential figure in the film world, Charles Band.
Since then, DeCoteau has gone on to produce and direct an astonishing 170 motion pictures over the course of the past four decades, with a clear passion for creating popular genre programming that caters to a global audience.
