Debby Gerber is a highly accomplished and award-winning actress, having received her training at the esteemed Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Basel, Switzerland, to loving parents and two older brothers, Debby initially pursued a degree in Social Work before taking a break to study and train in acting in America.
The initial seven-month stay turned into a two-year commitment, during which Debby immersed herself in the world of acting, graduating as the lead in the play "Angels of America" by Tony Kushner, where she portrayed the complex and challenging role of Harper. Under the guidance of her teachers and the head of the school, Debby discovered a newfound passion for acting, which has since become a driving force in her life.
With her accent eventually lost through intensive training and dedication, Debby has been able to join the Actor's Union SAG-AFTRA in 2012 and has since risen to become a talented and determined young actress. Her impressive filmography includes notable roles in "The Talking Tree," "The End of the World," "Christian Audigier the VIF," "The Remarkable Life of John Weld," and "Dog Days," as well as appearances in TV drama re-enactment shows such as "Murder Among Friends" on Investigation Discovery and "Evil Things" on TLC.
Debby's numerous awards and nominations include "Best Actress" at the Festigious International Film Festival in 2018 for her powerful performance in "The End of the World," and her upcoming role as the younger version of Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actress Sally Kirkland in the feature film "The Talking Tree," set to be released in theaters in 2019.
