Alundra Blayze, born Alundra Leigh Miceli, is a retired American professional wrestler with a storied career spanning multiple decades and promotions. Under her ring name Madusa, she initially made a name for herself in the American Wrestling Association, where she held the AWA World Women's Championship once and earned the prestigious Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Rookie of the Year award in 1988.
Miceli made history by becoming the first foreign wrestler to sign with All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling in 1989, and later joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991. She was a key member of the Dangerous Alliance, a group managed by Paul E. Dangerously, and went on to join the rival World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1993 under the name Alundra Blayze.
During her WWF tenure, Blayze engaged in notable feuds with Bull Nakano and Bertha Faye, and successfully defended the WWF Women's Championship a total of three times. Her departure from the WWF in 1995 was marked by a dramatic appearance on Monday Nitro, where she famously threw the WWF Women's Championship belt into a trash can.
Blayze returned to WCW in 1997 and remained with the promotion for the next six years, competing against the likes of Bull Nakano and Oklahoma. She made history by becoming the first woman to hold the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship and trained wrestlers at the WCW Power Plant before leaving the company in 2001.
In addition to her accomplished wrestling career, Blayze has also found success in the world of monster trucks. She drives a truck named Madusa, which was also her ring name during her wrestling days, and has won numerous championships, including the 2004 co-championship at the Monster Jam World Finals for freestyle in the first-ever three-way tie. The following year, she became the only female competitor in the Super Bowl of Motorsports, taking home the Racing Championship in the Monster Jam World Finals.
