Dee Christian, a.k.a. "Deke" Anderson, is a testament to the power of tenacity and determination. As a high school student, he was an All State Center for the Reno High Huskies, weighing in at a mere 138 pounds, despite his diminutive size.
At the tender age of 19, Deke had already established himself as a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating the largest bodybuilding gym in northern Nevada. He was also a four-time State Champion bodybuilder and had the distinction of employing Kane Hodder, a.k.a. "Jason" from the "Friday the 13th" franchise, at his gym.
Deke's passion for acting was ignited during his time at the Nevada Opera Guild, where he performed in numerous musicals. He made his Hollywood debut in the 1982 feature film "Stacy's Knights," in which he memorably threw Kevin Costner's character off a bridge in Reno.
In the early days of his acting career, Deke founded, owned, and operated Deke's Muscled Cabs, a pedicab business that helped him make ends meet. He was subsequently Taft-Hartlied into the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) on his first job in Los Angeles, marking the beginning of a 40-plus-year career in the entertainment industry.
Throughout his career, Deke has demonstrated his versatility as an actor, appearing in a wide range of roles, from dramatic leads to comedic supporting characters. He has also honed his skills behind the camera, directing and field producing 63 episodes of the TV series "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol" across eight states.
Deke's extensive experience has made him a reliable and nuanced actor, capable of bringing depth and complexity to a wide range of characters. His acting reels showcase his impressive range, featuring a diverse cast of characters, from Dads and Executives to psychos and goofballs.
Throughout his career, Deke has been fortunate enough to be a part of some truly iconic moments in TV and film history. He has appeared alongside Bruce Campbell in Sam Raimi's cult classic "Army of Darkness," as well as in the hit TV show "Cheers" and Madonna's "Material Girl" music video. He was also cast as a Series Regular in what was reportedly the most expensive CBS TV pilot ever shot.
In addition to his acting work, Deke has also dedicated himself to mentoring the next generation of actors. He is a beloved instructor at Next Level Acting Studios, one of the most prominent acting havens in Hollywood and the Southeast region.
When he's not working, Deke can be found residing in Texas, Louisiana, or Georgia, depending on his current project. He is proud to call Texas home, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and Schnauzer.
