Dennis Wamala is a renowned human rights activist in Uganda, dedicating his expertise to addressing LGBTI issues. As the director of programs at Icebreakers Uganda, he provides vital care and support services to LGBTI individuals in Uganda, acknowledging the need for a safe and inclusive environment.
In addition to his role at Icebreakers Uganda, Dennis serves as the vice-chair of the board of Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG),a prominent organization advocating for the rights of sexual minorities in Uganda.
Dennis's extensive experience in LGBTI human rights issues is further underscored by his involvement in the national LGBT security committee, which is responsible for monitoring, documenting, and responding to violations against LGBT individuals in Uganda.
Throughout his career, Dennis has worked on numerous local and international projects focused on LGBTI human rights and access to health services, particularly for men who have sex with men (MSM).
