Biography

Rosemary LaBie, a renowned American actress, was born in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. She received her education at the esteemed Our Lady of Loretto Academy, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors.

Before pursuing a career in acting, Diana honed her stage skills at Chicago's renowned Goodman Theatre. Her remarkable talent and captivating beauty led her to win numerous beauty contests, setting her apart from her peers.

As a high-fashion model, Diana relocated to Los Angeles, where she worked tirelessly, posing for commercial artists and making a name for herself in the competitive industry. Her exceptional looks and charisma eventually caught the attention of talent scouts, who recognized her immense potential.

The 1930s saw Diana emerge as a minor starlet, working at Universal and RKO studios. Although she struggled to find her footing, she managed to secure a leading role in Adventure's End (1937),a film that, unfortunately, has been deemed John Wayne's worst-ever production. This setback effectively halted Diana's career, and she was forced to reassess her options.

Despite this setback, Diana continued to act in various films, albeit with limited success. Eventually, she decided to pivot, leaving the glamour of Hollywood behind to pursue a new passion – stage acting. She married John Jack Schropp and relocated to Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania, where she became a beloved figure in the local theatre scene.

As Mrs. Rosemary Schropp, Diana performed in numerous productions, including the critically acclaimed 'Tillie the Mennonite Maid', earning widespread acclaim and admiration. Her journey from Hollywood starlet to small-town stage sensation serves as a testament to her unwavering dedication to her craft and her ability to adapt and thrive in the face of adversity.
