Michelle formed a group called the Goils in 1984, comprising three singers dressed in World War II uniforms, paying homage to The Andrews Sisters while incorporating jazz, swing, and popular music into their repertoire. The group made appearances on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, spent a year as resident performers at Las Vegas' New York, New York, and embarked on four tours of Japan.
In addition to her work with the Goils, Michelle has made numerous television and radio commercial appearances, including voicing Olive Oyl for Prego Spaghetti Sauce. Her extensive television voice-over credits include The Simpsons, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, and The West Wing, as well as various motion pictures such as RV, Little Mermaid II, and The Savages. Michelle also provided the dubbed voice of Dianne Feinstein in the feature film Milk.
In 2002, Michelle launched a one-woman show at the world-famous Encounter Restaurant at LAX, portraying the award-winning cartoon spaceship captain and diva Va Va LaVoom, her character from the Elmo Aardvark cartoon series.
Michelle's voice work can also be heard in films such as Happy Feet, Wings, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, Son of Batman, Crayon Shin-chan, and Kiki's Delivery Service (Streamline dub). In the world of video games, she has voiced multiple characters in titles such as The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Mass Effect, EverQuest II, and Diablo II, including Sally Field's rendition of Aunt May.
