Born amidst the breathtaking majesty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Doc King emerged as a dual citizen, boasting an impressive military career that culminated in the prestigious rank of Sergeant, while concurrently earning the esteemed distinction of having received two Purple Hearts as a US Army Medic. Following his decorated military service, King transitioned to a career as a Peace Officer in Washington State, where he honed his skills and refined his dedication to public service. Ultimately, he rekindled his passion for the arts, leveraging his newfound appreciation to secure a spot at the renowned American Academy of Dramatic Arts New York, where he proudly earned his degree and further solidified his status as a multifaceted individual.

As a student, Doc was fortunate to have been mentored by a distinguished group of instructors, including the renowned Jonathon Bolt, Susan Pilar, and Barbara Rubin. Under their guidance, he had the opportunity to take on a diverse range of roles, showcasing his versatility as a performer. One of the most notable productions he was a part of was Sam Shepard's 'Fool For Love', where he played the character of Eddie. This role allowed him to demonstrate his ability to bring complex characters to life on stage.

In another notable production, Doc had the chance to play the role of Hal Carter in William Inge's 'Picnic'. This role required him to tap into his emotional depth and convey the nuances of a character struggling with his own identity. His performance in this production was a testament to his ability to connect with his characters on a deep level.

However, it was his role as Roo Webber in Ray Lawler's 'Summer of the Seventeenth Doll' that truly stood out as a personal favorite.
