Biography

Dolours Price, a devoted and courageous Provisional Irish Republican Army volunteer, was born in the year 1950 and passed away in 2013. She grew up in an Irish republican family, which undoubtedly had a profound impact on her life and the path she chose to take.

As a young woman, Dolours joined the IRA in 1971, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to the cause. Her dedication did not go unnoticed, and she was subsequently sent to jail for her role in the infamous 1973 Old Bailey bombing. This pivotal event marked a significant turning point in her life, and she was eventually released from prison in 1981.

Dolours' personal life was just as remarkable as her involvement in the IRA. In 1983, she married renowned Irish actor Stephen Rea, with whom she shared a loving relationship that lasted for nearly two decades, until their divorce in 2003.

Tragically, Dolours' life came to a premature end in 2013, when she took a lethal combination of sedatives and anti-depressants. The circumstances surrounding her death were deemed accidental by the Dublin Coroner's Court, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered.
