Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Dominique Gayle was immersed in her Jamaican and Indian culture from a young age, surrounded by diversity, energy, and music. Her family would gather in their living room every night to watch her perform, showcasing her innate talent and knack for entertaining. As she grew older, her parents encouraged her to focus her creative energy by learning an instrument, and by the age of 7, she began her classical piano training, a pursuit she continues to this day.
Dominique's family later relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she discovered new channels for her creative energy to flow. She became fascinated with dancing and acting, and her passion for the performing arts only grew stronger as she entered middle school and later, a performing arts high school. During this time, she actively pursued her passions, performing in numerous school plays and competing in various dance competitions to hone her craft.
After completing her high school education, Dominique returned to Miami to attend Florida International University, where she decided to take a different path and pursue a degree in the medical field. She graduated with honors, earning a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences and Psychology with a minor in Biology, but despite her academic success, she felt an unfulfilled void. Medicine did not bring her the same joy and fulfillment as performing, and she eventually decided to leave the medical field behind and take a leap of faith in herself.
In January 2020, Dominique made the bold decision to move 2,761 miles away from home to Los Angeles, where she has since dedicated herself to a full-time acting career. She is now represented by Innovative Artists, Cohn / Torgan Management, and attorney Chad Christopher of Goodman Genow Schenkmann, and has appeared in two films: First Love and Sour Milk. Dominique's professionalism and passion for her craft have made a lasting impact on those she has worked with, leaving an indelible mark on each project and audition she has been a part of.
