Person Biography:
DomiNque Perry is a talented actress and dancer from Houston, Texas. She was enrolled in the prestigious Ensemble Theater Young Performers Program at the age of 7, where she received training in singing, dance, acting, and stage production. DomiNque continued to hone her skills by attending a performing arts elementary, middle, and high school, where she took up dance and piano, and even became captain of the cheerleading squad at Kashmere High.
She participated in the Ensemble Theater's Young Performers Summer Camp and main stage plays and musicals until the age of 17. After graduating high school, DomiNque attended Prairie View A&M University, where she majored in theater and became a "Black Fox Majorette" for the PVAMU marching Storm Band. She also attended Texas Southern University, where she became a "motion" majorette for the Ocean of Soul Band.
DomiNque's dance career took off when she was noticed by a team alumna who wanted to start a dance team and audition for MTV's Americas Best Dance Crew. She united with the crew, Xtreme Motion, and auditioned for MTV, eventually being chosen as one of the select teams to perform on the show. Although they did not make it past the first episode, DomiNque continued to pursue her passion for dance and singing, participating in numerous competitions, dancing background for local artists, and appearing in local films and stage plays.
She started a singing career, writing songs that she performed at various venues, but eventually focused on becoming an actress. DomiNque traveled back and forth to Los Angeles for film and music video auditions, eventually landing her start by being featured in Snoop Dogg feat. T-Pain's "Boom." She also modeled for rapper TI's clothing line, "AKOO," and was featured in Vibe Magazine, as well as being named Jet Magazine's iconic "Beauty of the Week" for their October 2012 Issue.
After moving to Atlanta, Georgia, DomiNque worked at Hooters and other restaurants to make ends meet, while continuing to audition for roles. She finally booked her first big on-screen role as "Shonda" in "Get Hard" starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. From there, she landed parts such as "Yolanda" in the film "American Hero" starring Stephen Dorff and Eddie Griffen, and "Splendid" on TVOne's comedy series "Born Again Virgin."
After living in Atlanta for four years, DomiNque made the big move to Los Angeles, where she booked the role of "Tasha" on HBO's hit series "Insecure" and realized it was the perfect timing to stick around and further her career in the big city. She also landed a guest star role as "Sally" on WGN's "Underground."
