Don's journey in the entertainment industry began in his teenage years, playing in various rock bands before transitioning to the world of acting. He spent three years honing his craft as an apprentice at the renowned Old Globe Theater in San Diego, earning his Equity card at the tender age of twenty.
Throughout his illustrious career, Don has maintained a strong association with the Old Globe Theater, with 1994 marking a significant milestone as he was appointed an Associate Artist by the theater's then-Artistic Director, Jack O'Brien. This prestigious honor was a testament to Don's dedication and talent.
In 2018, Don brought his unique talents to the Broadway stage, creating the role of "JD" in the musical "Escape To Margaritaville." He also had the opportunity to perform in the pre-Broadway tour and lend his voice to the original cast album.
Don's Broadway debut was a memorable one, as he took on the role of the "Skipper" in the Tony Award-winning play "Take Me Out," which received critical acclaim in 2003. Since then, he has gone on to star in over thirty leading roles at the Old Globe, as well as at numerous top regional theaters across the United States and Canada.
In addition to his impressive acting credits, Don is also a talented songwriter and performer. He regularly takes to the stage in clubs and coffee houses, sharing his original compositions with audiences. His wife, Claudia, is a respected voice and dialect coach, and the couple resides in the Wallkill Valley in New York with their two beloved dogs, Riley and Scout.
