Donna Adamo, known by her ring name Elektra, is a retired American professional wrestling valet and wrestler. Born and raised in New York City, she began her career as a child and adult model for Ford Models before exploring various occupations including tending bar, working as a donut stuffer, booker for a modeling agency, fitting model, oil wrestler, and booker for go-go bars.
In the late 1990s, Adamo decided to pursue a career in professional wrestling, training under The Fabulous Moolah in South Carolina and Johnny Rodz in New York City. She debuted in 1999 under the ring name Elektra, making her WWF Raw is War debut on April 5, 1999, playing one of The Godfather's "hos" during his match with WWF Intercontinental Champion Goldust.
Elektra joined Extreme Championship Wrestling in October 1999, initially acting as a valet for Danny Doring and Roadkill, interfering in their matches and fighting with opposing valets such as Francine. She gained popularity for her ability to flex her pectoralis major muscles, often doing so while delivering promos.
In March 2000, Elektra turned on Doring and Roadkill, joining the New Dangerous Alliance, and later aligned herself with EZ Money, Julio Dinero, and Chris Hamrick. She made her final ECW appearance at Guilty as Charged 2001, accompanying EZ Money and Julio Dinero in their unsuccessful challenge for the ECW World Tag Team Championship.
Following ECW's closure, Elektra made uncredited appearances as an extra in multiple episodes of the television series The Sopranos, playing a stripper in the "Bada Bing" strip club. She and fellow "Bada Bing" strippers appeared in a photo spread in the August 2001 issue of Playboy magazine, with Elektra intentionally losing muscle mass for the photoshoot.
In 2013, Elektra was interviewed by RTL Nieuws, expressing sadness at the sudden death of James Gandolfini, the actor who starred in The Sopranos.
