From humble beginnings in the Motor City, Detroit, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, taking night school classes in playwriting to hone my craft. Meanwhile, I honed my skills in the advertising department of Hudson's Department Store, a prominent retail establishment in Detroit.
As fate would have it, I made the bold decision to relocate to the city that never sleeps, New York, where I poured my heart and soul into writing the play "Fly Away Home". Little did I know, this creative endeavor would soon take flight, and I would be presented with the opportunity to adapt my work into a cinematic masterpiece.
With the prospect of seeing my play come to life on the big screen, I made the bold move to Los Angeles, the epicenter of the film industry. It was during this transformative period that I crossed paths with my future husband, Link Hanna, on a trip to New York.
Upon arriving in Hollywood, I secured a position as a writer at MGM studios, where I continued to hone my craft and make a name for myself in the competitive world of filmmaking.
