Biography

Douglas Reiser was born on November 22, 1972, in Jersey City, where his journey in the world of acting began to take shape. This was during his junior year in high school, when he discovered his passion for performing on stage, starring in three musicals that left a lasting impression on him. His interest in acting only grew stronger, and he decided to pursue it further by attending New York University in 1990, where he majored in drama and honed his skills at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 1994, Doug began his career in New York City, making appearances on television shows such as All My Children and Guiding Light. He also landed various voice-over and commercial credits on radio and television, further expanding his repertoire.

In addition to his work on television, Doug has also made a name for himself in the film industry, with credits including "Mr. Jealousy", "Three Below Zero", and "Crocodile". He has also been the lead actor in two short films that premiered at the Midnight Moviemaking Madness Film Festival in New York City, one of which, "Drakes Cake", won the award for best short in 2003. Another short film, "Wanted: Soulful Energy Exchange", in which Doug co-starred, has received widespread acclaim at film festivals across the country.

Doug's theatre credits are equally impressive, with roles in productions such as "Loot", "Hurly Burly", "Criminal Genius", and "Talk To Me Like The Rain and Let Me Listen", all of which were produced by his former theater company, DDR Productions. He is also an active member of the Episcopal Actors Guild in New York City and has recently formed his own production company, High-Reiser Productions, which focuses primarily on film.
