Biography

Dwayne's journey began in Dayton, Ohio, where he was born and raised, and graduated from Colonel White High School with a passion for the arts. He started his professional career with a local celebrity dance group called The Enchanters, showcasing his exceptional dance skills.

In addition to his dance talents, Dwayne excelled in gymnastics, winning first place in the city regional competition for two consecutive years and tenth place in the state regional competition on the floor exercise.

However, it was his passion for acting that truly drove him. He began his acting career with a theater group called Creekside Players, starring in the production of "The Past is the Past" directed by Al Lane.

Seeking to further hone his artistic skills, Dwayne made a bold decision to relocate to Chicago, where he attended acting classes at The Goodman Theater. He also received scholarships for dance at The Ruth Page School of Ballet and Chicago City Ballet, studying under the renowned instructor Maria Tallchief.

These talents ultimately landed Dwayne the lead role of Tyrone Jackson in the hit Broadway musical Fame, earning him critical acclaim on the national tour. He also had the honor of recording on the original cast album and appearing on the television series "Fame" as a dancer.

This experience fueled his drive, and his acting career continued to flourish. He worked on numerous national commercials for Pepsi, Pringles, Key Bank, Sunkist, MCI, and California Lotto non-smoking public service announcements, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

Dwayne's television credits include appearances on "Martial Law," where he played a street fighter, and "Noah's Arc." His film credits include Virtuosity, Sgt. Bilko, Redemption, and The Exorcism.

Not only did Dwayne demonstrate his dramatic acting abilities but also his comedic skills, appearing on the hilarious sketch comedy show "Mind of Mencia" on Comedy Central. He has also been recurring on the late-night sketch comedy show "Frank TV."

In addition to his acting career, Dwayne and his writing and business partner, A.J. Lovett, have started a production company called LoveReign Entertainment.
