The film premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and went on to have the longest theatrical run of any non-fiction film in Indian cinema history, spanning five weeks.

The film's impact was immense, changing the global conversation around access to essential medicine. In November 2018, it was included by legendary Australian journalist and documentary filmmaker John Pilger among his selection of "26 landmark documentary films of the past seven decades".

In 2017, Dylan was appointed Visiting Professor of History at the Central European University in Budapest, where he had earlier completed his MA. Dylan has recently directed the premiere episode for the critically-acclaimed Netflix anthology series Bad Boy Billionaires, focusing on Vijay Mallya.
