Ed Ackerman was born on August 15th, 1977, in the quaint rural township of Columbia Station, Ohio, situated just outside of Cleveland. Following his high school graduation, he embarked on a new chapter by enrolling at The University of Akron, where he would eventually establish himself as a top-rated radio personality with WZIP-FM.
After completing his college education, Ackerman's presence became increasingly well-known within the Cleveland comedy and acting community. For two years, he performed alongside the talented cast of Cabaret Dada, Cleveland's longest-running improvisational comedy theater, before making the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles in 2003.
In his new home, Ackerman continued to hone his craft by performing sketch comedy and improvisational comedy shows at renowned establishments such as The ACME Comedy Theater and The IO West.
