Born in Richmond, Virginia, Broaddus began his journey in the performing arts at an early age, taking center stage in church performances. As a young student, he acted in plays and musicals within the Richmond Public Schools system, a tradition he continued through 6th grade and into his college years at George Mason University. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, Broaddus returned to his hometown of Richmond to help establish and lead the Jazz Actors Theatre, a renowned repertory theatre company that toured the nation.
In addition to his work as an actor, Broaddus further developed his skills as a director, guiding the Media ministries at several local churches and teaching drama within the Richmond Public Schools. He also concurrently honed his technical expertise as a camera operator, audio engineer, and editor, even lending his talents to a local NBC affiliate.
After relocating to California, Broaddus brought his impressive skillset and technical knowledge to two esteemed organizations: Kids In The Spotlight and Make a Film Foundation. Throughout his illustrious career, Broaddus has established himself as a multifaceted artist, excelling as an accomplished actor, director, cinematographer, and editor.
