Ed Gass-Donnelly, an individual with a strong foundation in the theatrical world, has consistently demonstrated his versatility by taking on various roles, including director, producer, writer, and editor. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous short films and music videos.
Gass-Donnelly's feature film debut, This Beautiful City, made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2007 and subsequently garnered four Canadian Academy Award nominations, also known as Genie Awards.
His sophomore feature, Small Town Murder Songs, premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival and received widespread critical acclaim. The film went on to win the FIPRESCI Prize for Best Film at the Torino Film Festival, as well as the Best Actress award for Martha Plimpton at the Whistler Film Festival.
Small Town Murder Songs is slated for release in 2011.
In addition to his upcoming film releases, Ed Gass-Donnelly is also involved in the production and direction of two new projects in 2011. Permafrost, an eco-horror survival film, and Lavender, a supernatural thriller, are both set to be released in the near future.
