Edgar Arreola, born September 11, is the eldest of three siblings from a traditional Mexican family. He embarked on his acting career in 2003, participating in numerous projects throughout the years.
In 2007, Edgar won the best actor award at EDOC2007 for his role in "Worth the Fall," which was screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, short corner. His notable performances include playing Guillermo in "Sicario" (2015),alongside Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt, and Josh Brolin.
Edgar has had the privilege of working with esteemed actors such as Tom Hardy in "Capone" (2020),directed by Josh Trank, and Golden Globe winner Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton, and Edward James Olmos in "2 Guns" (2013). Other notable projects include "Machete" (2010) and "Machete Kills" (2013),featuring Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofía Vergara, and Kevin Sorbo in both.
In addition to his film work, Edgar has appeared in various television shows, including "Friday Night Lights" (2006),"Chase" (2010-2011),and "Prison Break" (2005). He has also had a personal life marked by love and dedication, being a father to two daughters from his first marriage and a son with his current wife, Josey Arreola.
Before pursuing his acting career, Edgar worked as a limousine chauffeur and even started his own limousine company. His passion for cars also led him to explore mechanic engineering. Edgar discovered his love for acting when he was invited to participate as an extra in a project, which sparked his passion for the craft.
In his free time, Edgar enjoys spending time with his family, is a big fan of Formula 1 racing, and has golf as his favorite sport. He is known for his great sense of humor among friends, family, and coworkers. Edgar's ultimate goal is to work hard and establish a foundation that provides medical assistance to children and elderly individuals in need, particularly in areas without access to free medical services.
