Edmund Eramiha, a multifaceted individual of Ngāpuhi descent, has traversed various professional paths throughout his career. His impressive repertoire includes work as a model, kapa haka performer, Muay Thai fighter, theatre tutor, and television presenter.
However, it is his acting prowess that has garnered significant attention, particularly following his breakout performance in Lee Tamahori's film Mahana in 2016. Eramiha's most recent and notable achievement was his nomination for an NZ TV Award in 2021 for his leading role as Kingi in the television series Vegas.
In this role, he portrayed a newly appointed gang leader, Kingi, who endeavored to steer his community away from the drug trade. This marked the fourth collaboration between Eramiha and director Kiel McNaughton, with whom he has also worked on the film The Legend of Baron To'a and television shows Find Me A Māori Bride and This Is Piki.
