Ektor Rivera is a multifaceted American artist, born on February 11th in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, whose talents span across the realms of acting, singing, and visual art.
He has had the privilege of taking center stage as Emilio Estefan in the Broadway production of "On Your Feet!" at the Marquis Theatre in New York, a musical that delves into the lives and music of the 26-time Grammy Award-winning duo, Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The show was masterfully directed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell and written by Academy Award winner Alexander Dinelaris Jr.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ektor has showcased his remarkable range as a leading man in numerous plays and musicals, including the Olivier Award-winning "Evita" at the Regent's Park Open Theatre in London, as well as "Rent", "Hairspray", "In The Heights", "Godspell", "High School Musical", "Piaf", "The Outsiders", and "The Mousetrap", among many others.
On television and film, Ektor has made appearances in "NCIS", "Start Up", "La Ultima Gira", a biopic about the life of Latin music legend Daniel Santos, and "Lucia, Ignacio y otras historias". His captivating image has been featured in local and international advertising campaigns for major brands.
In addition, Ektor was handpicked by the renowned singer and actress Jennifer López to be one of the lead singers in the USA TV & Live Show "Q'Viva! The Chosen", which was viewed by over 30 million television viewers. This groundbreaking production was co-produced by Jennifer López, Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony, and choreographer Jamie King. The show was broadcast simultaneously on both Univision and FOX, and was presented LIVE at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, with a live audience of over 10,000 people.
Ektor was also part of the "Broadway and Beyond" cast, which marked the grand opening of the Walt Disney Theater in the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, Florida. The show was directed by Richard Jay Alexander and featured a star-studded lineup, including Sierra Boggess, Norm Lewis, and Michael Urie.
