As a filmmaker, she has made a significant impact on the industry, having won the HBO Latinx short film Director award and sweeping the festival circuit with her autobiographical film, Brownsville Bred, in 2022.

As a Warnermedia 150 Artist, Elaine is part of a prestigious program that recognizes and supports socially impactful storytellers. Her original drama pilot, The System, has landed in development with CBS and Sutton Street Productions, and she is an alumna of the 2022 WGA East Showrunner Academy, LAByrinth Theater Producer lab, and the Sundance Institute.
Elaine's impressive resume also includes being a finalist for the Lynn Shelton award and Shondaland Women's Director Program, and a two-time Imagen Impact award nominee. Her company's casting division has made her a proud member of the Casting Society of America, and she has been a working casting director since 2009.
With a keen eye on diversity, equity, and inclusion, Elaine has cast hundreds of projects, including films, commercials, animation, and television, and takes pride in growing the Latiné talent pool in front of and behind the camera. She is dedicated to encouraging at-risk youth toward a career in the arts and speaks at youth arts programs in underserved communities and lectures at universities, including Emerson College and UMass Amherst.
