Eleanor May Tomlinson, a talented English actress, was born on May 19th, 1992, in the vibrant city of London, Greater London, England. As a young child, she relocated to Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, where she spent her formative years and attended Beverley High School as a teenager.
With a strong family background in the entertainment industry, Eleanor's parents, Malcolm Tomlinson, an actor and horse racing commentator, and Judith Hibbert, a singer and former actress, undoubtedly played a significant role in nurturing her passion for acting and performing. Her brother, Ross Tomlinson, also followed in their footsteps, becoming an actor himself.
Eleanor's love for acting and dancing was evident from a young age, and she would often take part in school plays. Her professional acting career began with a feature film debut in The Illusionist (2006),where she played the role of Young Sophie. She then went on to appear in several teenage films, including Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (2008),and blockbusters like Alice in Wonderland (2010).
Eleanor's breakout role came in 2013 when she played Isabelle in Jack the Giant Slayer and Isabel Neville in The White Queen. However, it was her portrayal of Demelza Poldark in the popular BBC One series Poldark (2015) that catapulted her to household fame.
