Eleonora Abbagnato's illustrious dance career began in 1990, marking the start of her formal training at the esteemed Formation à l'Académie Princesse Grâce in the picturesque principality of Monaco.
She further honed her artistic skills at the renowned Centre Rosella Hightower in the charming city of Cannes, a prestigious institution that has nurtured the talents of many accomplished dancers.
In 1992, Abbagnato entered the revered École de danse de l'Opéra, a celebrated institution that has played host to the development of many exceptional dancers.
Following her rigorous training, she joined the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet (POB) Corps de ballet in 1996, a move that would ultimately lead to her rapid ascension through the ranks.
Her dedication and artistry earned her the distinction of coryphée in 1999, sujet in 2000, and ultimately, in 2001, she became a première danseuse, a position reserved for the most exceptional dancers.

From the enchanting and ethereal Princess Florine in the timeless and beloved ballet, Sleeping Beauty, to the majestic and regal Gamzatti in the grand and sweeping La Bayadère, Abbagnato has consistently demonstrated her ability to interpret complex and demanding characters with ease and aplomb.
Her impressive repertoire also includes the captivating and charming Henriette and Clémence in the captivating and romantic Raymonda, choreographed by the legendary and revered Rudolf Nureyev, as well as the dramatic and intense Marie in Clavigo, the spirited and free-spirited Esmeralda in the epic and dramatic Notre-Dame de Paris, the whimsical and enchanting Titania in the fantastical and dreamlike Midsummer Nights Dream, and the title role in the captivating and romantic Sylvia, choreographed by the acclaimed and respected Christopher Neumeier.
In addition, Abbagnato has also had the honor of portraying the regal and majestic Anastasia in the grand and sweeping Ivan le terrible, the timeless and classic Myrtha in the beloved and iconic Giselle, and the spirited and lively Kitri in the classic and timeless Don Quixote, once again choreographed by the legendary Rudolf Nureyev.
