Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, Rovinsky spent her early years in Austin, TX, and Kinna, Sweden, before relocating to New York City. Her parents, Alvy (née Andersson) and Robert Rovinsky, a nurse and professor, respectively, instilled in her a strong foundation for her future endeavors. Rovinsky's academic background includes attending the University of Gothenburg, after which she returned to the United States, dividing her time between pursuing her acting career and waitressing in NYC before enrolling at the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory.
Rovinsky's acting career has since expanded to encompass a variety of high-profile independent films, which have garnered critical acclaim at numerous film festivals. Moreover, she has leveraged her multilingual skills to star in several independent and short films in Sweden, including the notable film Rest (2009),which is available on TiVO in the United States.
