Biography

Em Weinstein is a multifaceted creative professional, exceling in the realms of film, theater, and television. Most recently, they have been part of the staff team on Amazon's A League of Their Own series.

Em's impressive portfolio includes two award-winning short films that have garnered international recognition, with their most recent work, "In France Michelle is a Man's Name", taking home the prestigious Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Short at Slamdance in 2021.

During their time at Yale School of Drama, where they pursued their MFA, Em had the opportunity to direct numerous plays, including the inaugural workshop production of Jeremy O. Harris's groundbreaking work, "Slave Play".

Em has collaborated with a variety of esteemed companies, including Rattlestick Theater, Shakespeare & Company, Two River Theater, New York Theater Workshop, Working Theater, and New Georges, bringing their unique perspective and creative vision to each project.

As a proud member of AFI's Directing Workshop for Women Class of 2021, Em continues to push boundaries and challenge norms in their work.
