Biography

Emanuele Filiberto Umberto Reza Ciro René Maria di Savoia, born on June 22, 1972, in Gèneve, Switzerland, is a prominent figure within the illustrious House of Savoy. As the son and designated heir of Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy, he holds a unique position within the family lineage, being the only male-line grandson of Umberto II, the last reigning monarch of Italy.

As the heir-apparent to the contested headship of the House of Savoy, Emanuele Filiberto assumes the title of "Prince of Piedmont", a nod to his ancestral heritage.

Emanuele Filiberto's early life was marked by exile from Italy, a consequence of the Italian constitution's prohibition on the male descendants of the Savoy kings from entering or residing on Italian soil. However, this restriction was lifted in November 2002, allowing him to return to Italy and reintegrate into his family's legacy.

Since his return, Emanuele Filiberto has made numerous appearances on national television, showcasing his versatility and charisma. He has participated in popular programs such as Ballando con le stelle, the Italian equivalent of Dancing with the Stars, and the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival.

In his personal life, Emanuele Filiberto is married to the talented French actress Clotilde Courau, a union that has brought joy and fulfillment to his life.
