Eme Ikwuakor, a talented actor, is set to star alongside Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson in the upcoming sci-fi film Moonfall, scheduled to release in theaters on February 4th.
Born in Arvada, Colorado, as one of six siblings, including five brothers and one sister, Eme is the son of Nigerian parents. His father, Killian Ikwuakor, came to the U.S. on a scholarship to the Colorado School of Mines and earned a Ph.D. in Geophysics, while his mother, Patricia, runs a business in African Imports/Exports.
Eme attended the University of Colorado on a track and field scholarship, initially considering a sports marketing major. However, an advisor recommended a theater major, which led him to sign up and land the role of Tom Robinson in "To Kill a Mockingbird." This experience had a profound impact on his life and career.
He became heavily involved with the Interactive Theater Project in Colorado, a professional acting troupe specializing in theater for social change. This experience greatly influenced his career goals and fueled his passion for standing up for causes like Standing Rock, race, and socio-economic related issues.
Prior to his film career, Eme was cast in "Ink," a critically acclaimed, locally produced, independent science fiction feature that won Best Colorado Film at the 2009 Denver Film Critics Society awards. The film was also praised as "one of the best films of 2009" by JoBlo.
Eme is married to his beautiful wife, Megha, and currently resides in Los Angeles. His television credits include ABC's "Marvel's Inhumans," Counterpart, NCIS, How To Get Away With Murder, Victorious, Silicon Valley, Castle, Hawaii 5-0, Extant, and Netflix's hit series "On My Block."
