Emily Nelson is an American actress with a distinct flair for playing unique and varied roles across different genres. She initially gained recognition for her portrayal of Hilary in the feature film Made of Honor, as well as her work on television. Emily's passion for acting began at Oak Park River Forest High School, where she attended a theatre department renowned for its excellence.
She further honed her skills at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the School of Drama at CMU. Emily's early interest lay in improvisation, and she would often travel to downtown Chicago to take classes at The Second City Chicago, even performing with The Second City Kids Co. during her high school years.
As a young woman, Emily returned to Chicago and progressed through The Second City Training Center, going on to perform with numerous improv companies across the country, including Comedy Sportz LA. Most recently, she was part of the Advanced Writing shows at the Groundlings, where she brought to life the characters Frank & Agnes.
Today, Emily resides in Los Angeles and shares her life with two lovable huskies.
