Emma Dark is a renowned filmmaker and actress, specializing in the genres of Horror, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy. With a deep passion for film and creativity, she began her journey in 2014 with the horror short "Island of the Blind Dead" (2015),followed by her first self-produced and directed festival short film, "Seize the Night" (2015),featuring Anthony Ilott and Roy Scammell.
Emma's work on "Seize the Night" earned her the 'Rising Star' award at the Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival in 2015 and the 'Outstanding Female Filmmaker' award from Stormy Weather Horror Fest in 2017. The film received praise from numerous genre websites, including Dread Central and Starburst, as well as a three-page print review and front-page mention in UK horror magazine Scream.
Her second festival short film, "Salient Minus Ten" (2017),premiered at Cineworld Leicester Square, London, as part of the British Horror Film Festival in 2017. The film went on to play festivals worldwide, winning Emma the 'Best Director' award at the Starburst Magazine MediaCity Film Festival in 2018, the 'Albert Pyun Inspiration Award' at the Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival in 2018, and the 'Best Editing' award from Stormy Weather Horror Fest in 2019.
As a strong advocate for women in film, Emma has been featured on the front cover of Digital FilmMaker Magazine, issue 39, and has written for the magazine's monthly 'Ask the Filmmaker' section. She has also spoken on stage at the Brand Film Festival in London, discussing female leaders in the film industry.
As an actress, Emma has appeared in films such as "House of Lexi" (2019),"Frankula" (2017),and "Every Time I See You I Go Wild" (2013),a music video by B.E.F. Feat. Kim Wilde.
Emma has been a celebrity autograph guest at various conventions across the UK, including MCM Comic Con and HorrorCon UK.
