Emma-Louise Wilson was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1981 and spent her childhood in the northern suburbs, where she attended a regional high school due to its proximity to her home.
She is widely recognized for her portrayal of Katie, the lovable and endearing character, in the multi-award-winning Australian comedy series "Utopia".
Following her high school graduation, Emma-Louise embarked on a journey to pursue her passion for acting, beginning with a Foundation Year at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts.
Subsequently, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree with Honours at Monash University, where she also developed a strong interest in stand-up comedy.
During her Honours year, Emma-Louise decided to undertake a performance and written thesis on stand-up comedy, which led to her becoming a regular performer on the Melbourne comedy circuit.
After a few years of honing her craft in Melbourne, Emma-Louise's travel bug kicked in, and she spent 11 months based in London, where she joined the Actors Centre and attended various workshops to further her training.
Upon her return to Melbourne, Emma-Louise continued her training with PEM Studios, refining her skills and expanding her repertoire.
In addition to her work in comedy, Emma-Louise has a deep appreciation for action and horror, which led her to explore the world of stunts. She began training in karate and stunts at the age of 29 and worked diligently to become a graded Stunt Action Person in Australia.
Emma-Louise has also achieved a first-degree black belt in Shukokai Karate, a testament to her dedication and perseverance.
In her personal life, Emma-Louise resides in Melbourne with her husband and daughter and continues to work in both acting and stunts. When not working, she is currently obsessed with crochet and knitting.
