Emrhys Cooper, a native of Devon, England, has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as a multi-talented director, writer, producer, and actor based in Los Angeles.
He has had a successful on-screen career, appearing in popular TV shows such as Person of Interest, Desperate Housewives, and CSI: NY, as well as in the film Mamma Mia!
However, Cooper soon expanded his horizons by venturing into production, where he achieved notable success with the romantic comedy Walk a Mile in My Pradas, released on Amazon Prime Video, and the dramedy Til We Meet Again, available on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
In 2017, Cooper took on a new challenge by starring in and producing the widely-released Bhutanese film Kushuthara: Pattern of Love, a milestone in the history of Bhutanese cinema.
In 2018, Cooper made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed LGBT short film Trophy Boy, which premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and is currently in development as a television series.
Cooper is now working on The Shuroo Process, a project that showcases his versatility as a writer, producer, director, and actor. This project, executive produced by Zachary Quinto and starring Rainey Qualley, Tommy Dorfman, and Fiona Dourif, is set to premiere at the 2021 film festival circuit.
As the President of his independent entertainment company, Idyllwild Pictures, Cooper aims to push the boundaries of the film industry by creating thought-provoking films that address the pressing issues of our time.
