Eric, a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film/TV, has been dedicating himself to directing animation for more than two decades.
Eric's creative journey began at MTV, where he developed his first animated series, "The Head," a quirky sci-fi comedy that garnered a devoted cult following and even inspired a successful graphic novel within just two years.
Building upon the success of "The Head," Eric went on to create "Celebrity Deathmatch," a stop-motion animated series that cleverly combined his passion for animation and celebrity bashing. The show's premiere was a massive hit, becoming one of the highest-rated specials in MTV's history and running for six seasons with over a hundred episodes. Eric's innovative approach to animation earned him recognition as one of TV's most creative people by Entertainment Weekly.
Eric's subsequent work included directing computer-generated features for Mattel, as well as creating and producing the faux-documentary series "Starveillance" for E!. He then collaborated with Michael Eisner's Tornante Company to develop Nick at Night's first animated original, "Glenn Martin, DDS," starring Kevin Nealon and Catherine O'Hara. The series received an Annie Award nomination and won two Gemini Awards for Best Animated Series and Best Director.
In the years that followed, Eric continued to work in computer-generated animation, serving as senior director on Nickelodeon's "Wallykazam!" and directing and executive producing Disney's "The Descendents: Wicked World."
Eric then joined Dreamworks, where he served as executive producer and writer on the Emmy-nominated series "Archibald's Next Big Thing" (Netflix/Peacock). He is currently working on a Megamind TV series/feature, which is set to premiere on Peacock in early 2024.
Throughout his illustrious career, Eric has demonstrated his versatility and creativity as a writer, director, and executive producer, leaving a lasting impact on the world of animation.
