Erica Solitaire Chappell, a talented actress and director, hails from Louisville, Kentucky, but has since made Hollywood, California her home. Born with a passion for the theatre, she pursued her dreams and earned a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Kentucky.
Throughout her academic journey, Erica sought out numerous opportunities to hone her craft. She studied at Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where she delved into subjects like Grand-Guignol, sparking her interest in directing. Before completing her Bachelor's degree, she received a scholarship to study at La Sorbonne in Paris, France, where she rapidly became fluent in French.
Erica's love for foreign theatre and film only grew stronger, driving her to seek out new experiences. She participated in a work-trade program with Accademia Dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy, where she intensely studied Commedia Dell'Arte and the works of Dario-Fo.
Upon graduating in 2014, Erica collaborated with Director Nancy Jones on an adaptation of Les Bonnes by Jean Genet, touring New York City and performing at the renowned La Mama theatre, where she played the lead role of Madame.
In 2017, Erica relocated to Hollywood, California, after securing a dance internship. She immediately immersed herself in the entertainment industry, directing a theatre show and training at the legendary Second-City and the well-known Margie Haber studio.
With her sights set on television and film productions, Erica has been regularly booked on sets and is managed by Sherri Lynn Talent and represented by Lisa Butler of Hollywood Original Talent. She is eager to work on new projects and create original film works.
Erica's multi-layered training, ranging from classic Commedia Dell'Arte to modern film technique, has prepared her for a successful career in the entertainment industry. With two independent films set to release in 2018, she is excited to take on her next film project and continue to grow as a talented actress and director.
