Growing up in a small village with his grandparents, he would reenact scenes from the soap operas he watched with his grandmother the previous night, demonstrating a natural flair for the dramatic.
As a teenager, Erick made the bold decision to leave his hometown and move to the United States, where he pursued higher education and enrolled in a business administration program. However, it was during his intro to acting class that his childhood dream of becoming an actor was reawakened, prompting him to make a drastic career change.
With a mix of excitement and trepidation, Erick switched his major to acting, a decision that would prove to be a defining moment in his life. He went on to earn his Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree in theater performance from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
