Erin Murphy, a former child actress from Encino, California, is most notably recognized for her portrayal of the young witch Tabitha Stephens in the fantasy sitcom "Bewitched" between 1966 and 1972.
Initially, Murphy shared the role of Tabitha with her fraternal twin sister Diane Murphy, with whom she initially looked alike. However, as the two sisters grew older, they began to look less alike, and Diane eventually left the series.
Following the conclusion of "Bewitched", Murphy appeared in guest roles on various television shows and also modeled swimwear for the brand "Hang Ten". During her high school years, Murphy was a cheerleader at El Toro High School in Lake Forest, California, and was crowned homecoming queen in her senior year, graduating in 1981 at the age of 17.
As an adult, Murphy pursued a variety of careers, including working as a casting director, makeup artist, fashion stylist, acting teacher, and motivational speaker. She also worked as a stunt double for actress Virginia Madsen and wrote for various magazines, focusing on fashion, beauty, and luxury lifestyle.
Murphy has been married multiple times and has six children. She has been involved with several autism-related charities over the years, as one of her sons has been diagnosed with the disorder.
In addition to her various endeavors, Murphy was the owner of "Erin Murphy Knits", a company that marketed hand-knit, eco-friendly alpaca wear. She raised alpacas on her private ranch in Bell Canyon, California.
In 2014, Murphy became the co-owner of Slim Chillers, a company that produced low-calorie frozen vodka martini pops. In 2018, she purchased a beach house in Malibu.
