Initially, she made her debut in a limited number of Swedish feature films and television productions, often portraying a young, attractive blonde woman in minor supporting roles.
As the mid-1960s unfolded, Strömberg was offered several roles in West German romantic comedies and crime thrillers, further solidifying her presence in the European film landscape. When renowned Polish producer Artur Brauner contracted Swedish actress Harriet Andersson for a significant part in the sword and sandal drama "The Last Roman/ Kampf um Rom" in 1968, Strömberg was subsequently offered a minor yet pivotal role in this epic production.
This notable performance catapulted her to popularity in Italy, subsequently leading to her collaboration with the renowned director Jésus Franco on a series of erotic films, including the iconic "Vampyros Lesbos" and "She Killed in Ecstasy".
