Subsequent to his high school graduation, Moreland made the bold decision to enlist in the United States Navy, where he served as a rescue swimmer, an experience that afforded him the extraordinary opportunity to travel extensively across the globe.
During his tenure in the Navy, Moreland gained invaluable life lessons that continue to hold significant importance in his life, particularly the profound significance of family and the importance of maintaining a sense of "home" regardless of his geographical location.
