Fabian Aichner, an Italian professional wrestler, currently performs in WWE's developmental territory NXT under his real name. Prior to his WWE stint, he competed on the independent circuit in Europe, utilizing the ring name Adrian Severe.
Aichner's professional wrestling career began on December 12, 2011, with a debut appearance for New European Championship Wrestling (NEW). In 2012, he participated in the NEW World Heavyweight Championship tournament, ultimately falling short of claiming the title. The following year, Aichner reached the finals of the Deadline tournament, only to be denied the championship once more. This pattern repeated in 2014.
Following his return to the independent circuit after the Cruiserweight Classic, Fabian achieved a significant milestone by winning the NEW World Tag Team Title Tournament alongside Mexx.
On June 5, 2017, Aichner signed a contract with WWE, marking the beginning of his NXT tenure. His in-ring return took place on June 22, 2017, at a NXT live event, where he faced Adrian Jaoude and suffered a defeat. Aichner's subsequent television debut occurred on the September 27 episode of NXT, as he lost to Kassius Ohno.
However, Aichner's NXT journey was marked by a significant transformation, as he gained almost 30 pounds of muscle since his appearance in the Cruiserweight Classic. His first televised victory arrived on the November 1 episode of NXT, courtesy of a win over Johnny Gargano.
The inaugural USA Network broadcast of NXT on December 13, 2017, saw Aichner challenge for the NXT Championship held by Andrade Almas, but ultimately fall short of claiming the title.
