Twin brothers Damiano and Fabio D'Innocenzo embarked on a creative journey, nurturing a profound passion for painting, photography, and poetry. Without any formal training in the cinematic arts, they embarked on their inaugural foray into filmmaking by crafting video clips, scripting, and staging theatrical productions.
Fast forward to 2018, the duo premiered their debut feature film, Boys Cry (La terra dell'abbastanza),which garnered significant attention at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival's "Panorama" section. Critics and audiences alike were impressed, and the film went on to receive numerous national and international accolades, including the prestigious Nastro d'Argento award for Best New Director.
Their sophomore effort, Bad Tales (Favolacce),earned a spot in competition at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival and ultimately secured the Silver Bear award for Best Screenplay, further solidifying the D'Innocenzo twins' reputation as innovative and talented filmmakers.
